I often go walking through meadows of clover

To my beautiful mother, grandmothers, aunt-mothers, cousin-mothers, and the friend-mothers in my life--

You give me something to aspire to be. Because frankly, I don't know how to be anything but selfish. Maybe one day.

The pictures that follow are the most influential mothers in my life -- my own mom, her mom, my aunt, my dad's mom, and my sister-mom.

Maybe this year I'll get a house plant and take it for a test drive. Any one have suggestions on a plant that won't break my heart?

A cactus. Or a palm tree. For some reason both of mine have survived for years and I never water either. Good luck.

That cracks me up, the line about being selfish. It's true, not of just you but ALL of us... Though I'm a mom and I still feel really selfish.

Love you.

Hi Natalie! HOW have I not been reading your blog all this time? How??
I am laughing as I read this post because for my Mother's Day post I also used a Primary song for the title AND an old pic of me and my mom.
Apparently, it's true. Great minds really do think alike. :)

Moms are amazing. I have the perfect house plant! It's the one my mom never killed. The one I grew from its vine. And snipped to make one for each of my siblings. But I don't know what it's called or how in the world I'd get it to you... Uhhh...

Definitely, maybe, probaby related posts:
