Countdown!

I'd forgotten what it's like to literally count down the days to an event. In all actuality, I don't think you can call the East Coast Wms Family Gathering merely an event, it's more of an Extravaganza.

A week from Thursday, the festivities begin. Ten days later, they will end. I've been in Boston nearly eleven months now. In that time, I've spent five total days with family--a quick trip to Salt Lake last April, and the three days I spent in Portland in September. In eight short days, I'll be making up for lost time.

The gathering begins in New York City next Thursday. I'll drive down and meet my parents, my sisters Kendall and Mallory, my G-parents, my Aunt Cheri and Uncle Randy (my surrogate parents), and my sister cousin Rachel. (We'll miss you Eck!) We're staying in the heart of Times Square (as true tourists ought to do) at the Marriott Marquis, and seeing Wicked that night. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be spent (re)exploring the city with my favorite people on earth. We're also seeing Mary Poppins, and I'm hoping to convince someone to see the Spelling Bee with me as well.

My family laughs a lot when we're together. Sometimes, we're a bit of a 3-ring circus, but it's the best. My greatest wish is that the people closest to me can experience what my family is really like. Sooooooooo.....

Want to come meet my family? Well alright, they're coming to Boston! We're driving up from NYC on Sunday, and will be hosting an open house "Meet & Greet" if you want to come meet my parents and sisters--basically, figure out the wildness that is me. Sadly, my older sister Alaina won't be joining us until Tuesday, so you won't quite get the 100 percent. Can you believe that? Somehow I inspired my entire family to come to me for Thanksgiving. I'm a great persuader...

The festivities continue in Boston until Saturday when (sadly) everyone has to go home. Don't fear. Less than a month after they leave, we'll reconvene in Portland. And then Arizona. And then Mexico. The Holiday Extravaganza de Williams lives on.

I've got some good travel logs coming up.

I imagine only my sisters and cousins are going to comment this blog. And maybe my Mom. That's okay. I know you're all excited for me. The End.

Ahh, I can't hardly stand hearing about it because I'm so jealous! (For the record, my mom sat me down and had a little "when you're married you can't do everything" talk with me when she told me about the trip...haha) But I do hope you all have a great time.

I'm sorry to miss the New York Extravaganza, but I'm way excited about the Boston Modeling Shoot. And good food of course.
