Yesterday, most of the nation observed Veteran's Day. Including me.
I was 90% sure we had the day off. I was 100% wrong.
My boss's boss just called to ask how my personal holiday was. Egads.
For the record, I seem to love the Veterans more than anyone I know--who else is willing to possibly sacrifice their jobs in observing the holiday?

bummer! hopefully the sleep in, stay in pj's all day, homemade chicken noodle soup, shopping trip to market basket, get stuff done pre-family day was worth the possible unemployment.

i wish i would of taken a freaking personal holiday. Yesterday was the worst day ever. Probably because no one was at work to update their blogs. BORING.
ignorance is bliss. I learned long ago it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Now you know, and you may NEVER have that chance again. That alone makes yesterday and awesome day no matter what you did!
